An introductory course on interpreting gender, sex and sexuality in literature using a variety of methodologies. Readings will vary by semester, but will always represent a spectrum of human sexual experience from diverse cultures, and draw on a variety of genres, such as poetry, drama, fiction, biography, film and essay.
